I'm super happy to finally share that I was featured in the September 12th release of the @creativestampingmagazine with this @alexsyberiadesigns project, along a few others showcasing the Sweet Friend release. The projects all follow a color scheme proposed by the magazine, with a beautiful twist to Fall colors. I then hand-drew the tray and 3 layers of cakes. I took inspiration from an Alex Syberia Design layered stamp set, called Celebrate with cake. Drawing is not one of my super skills, so using an existing image or stamp in my case is always helpful. Fall is my preferred season of all! For this new @alexsyberiadesigns project, I mixed products from for the latest release with last year Fall release. Products: Collecting memories stamp set Postage stamps cover die and coordinating stencil Special delivery stamp set Giraffe-ic friends stamp set Andalusia wildflowers die set Self-care sentiments stamp set Frosty lace stencil Nested scalloped frames die set Distress oxides: Squeezed lemonade, Dried marigold, Spiced marmalade, Crackling campfire, Old paper, Twisted citron, Rustic wilderness and Vintage photo Distress inks: Vintage photo and Walnut stain To create this card, I started by die cutting some leaves and a flower of the Andalusia wildflower die set from white cardstock, and ink blended them with Distress oxides Squeezed lemonade, Dried marigold, Spiced marmalade, Crackling campfire, Old paper, Twisted citron, Rustic wilderness and Vintage photo. Totally fell in love with @loshakeratoalberto fox version of @bibicameron and @teamspellbinders Big cat using Copics and totally wanted to try it on a friend's cat. I used Copics and also pencils on this version. I don't think I managed to replicate the fur quite purrfectly, maybe too much brown and not enough grey, but I'm happy with how this cute cat turned out. The biggest challenge was drawing the eyes, but your eye tutorial, Alberto, really helped me get started. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Good bye August, Hello September. Good bye Summer, Hello Fall. It was fun to picture these parents, not really willing to leave, having one last drink before taking the road back home with their cute kids and doggo. Hope you had a great Summer time.
