My recent sepia almost monochromatic card gave me an appetite for more monochromatic and I needed an excuse to use the new @mftstamps Mermaid for each other set. Though, I can't say blues are in my comfort zone, especially as my markers are a bit old, but it was definitely fun, and stressful, but fun. Hope you find them interesting! Today, I'm showcasing again the new Festive poinsettia from @alexsyberiadesigns. I just love this stamp set, just like any floral from Alex Syberia Designs. The flower is just the most gorgeous poinsettia I've ever seen but the set also has other great elements, such as holy and pine branches, as well as amazing sentiments that can make great focal points on a card. The set is so comprehensive and turns out so versatile! For today's card, I wanted to create a dramatic look, with lots of contrast between the flower and background. Also love how the big sentiment from the new Christmas sentiments stamp set is nested in the center. My big Summer break is in one week from now and all I can say is I'm obsessed with vacations. This has inspired me this card last week end, with a mashup of many brands and sets which I listed below. I'm a true Christmas lover, so today's post is a tribute to Christmas, in a way. I truly love Christmas and look forward to it from December 26th, but when it comes to cardmaking, I really prefer to follow the seasons, so Christmas in July is not really my thing, or I thought! But when you're given such a beautiful release to play with, it no longer matters that it's 36°C outside (even if you have to hot foil!).
