Did someone say cheesecake?

I'm super happy to finally share that I was featured in the September 12th release of the @creativestampingmagazine with this @alexsyberiadesigns project, along a few others showcasing the Sweet Friend release. The projects all follow a color scheme proposed by the magazine, with a beautiful twist to Fall colors.

Alex Syberia Designs Products:
Sweet friend stamp set
Rainbow sentiments stamp set
Carnival party stencil
Nested scalloped frames die set

Distress inks: Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers

I first stamped the cute mice couple, from the Sweet Friend stamp set, at the bottom of my panel, with black ink.

I then hand-drew the tray and 3 layers of cakes. I took inspiration from an Alex Syberia Design layered stamp set, called Celebrate with cake.

Drawing is not one of my super skills, so using an existing image or stamp in my case is always helpful. Also treating the image as a geometric shape makes it less intimidating, and when you think about it, drawing cheese is certainly not the most complicated thing.

I softened the pencil lines with an eraser and then colored the cheese with Copic markers.

I used E50, Y11, Y000 and Y0000 for the inside, E33, E31, Y21 and Y11 for the holes, and Y21, YR21, E31 and E50 for the crust. I also colored the tray, using C5, then C3 to C0 markers.

I then also colored the cute mice with markers E44 to E40. For the cheeks and ears, I used RV32, RV11, R00 and R000. With a Soufflé black glaze pen, I added details on the eyes and muzzles.

For the boy's shorts, I used BG49, GB23 and G00. For the girl's dress, I used YR27, YR24, YR21, Y21 and Y13. The cupcake was colored with R31, R35, E74, E77, E79 and R35 markers. The mug was colored with E50 and E42 markers.

I then drew a horizontal line, with marker BG10, behind the tray, using a T-ruler. I then colored the wall with G00, BG10, GB70 and 0, going from darker around the cake to lighter on the outside.

For the ground, I used E31, E41 and E40 markers.

Next, I stenciled the streamers, using the Carnival party stencil. I blended Distress ink Salvaged Patina through stencil 1 and Peacock feathers through stencil 2.

With the larger rectangle from the Nested scalloped frames die set, I die cut the panel.

I then stamped the stentiment above the cheese cake, using two sentiments from the Rainbow sentiments stamp set, with black ink.

To finish the card, I adhered the panel onto the cardbase with liquid adhesive.
