Resting isn't lazy

Do you like reading a book to relax and rest? Cardmaking eats up most of my free time these last years, so I don't read as much as I used to or as I would like, unfortunately. For this card, I used the new Smile more stamp set and hand-drew the books at the back, using several sets to create the books titles.   Alex Syberia Design products Smile more (Critters, side-table and Resting isn't lazy sentiment) Sweet friend (You are amazing and You warm my heart sentiments) Smile and wave (The stars are the limit and Just smile sentiments) Distress oxide: Scattered straw Distress inks: Vintage photo and Walnut stain To create this card, I started by stamping the critters and side-table on my panel. I also stamped them on masking paper. I then hand-drew all the books. To mask the hand-drawn images, I used a little trick we all learnt as kids, but then probably all forgot about it. I used vellum to reproduce the images. Next, I flipped the vellum and drew over the lines at the back wi

No one measures up to you

I'm so happy to be guest designing for The Sassy Club again this month and can't thank @sandraspitaleri enough for this opportunity. Working with her sets is so much fun and brings me so much joy, bringing back sweet memories. Sandra has so many great sets around food and movie, and I just love that this first card combines both themes. I used two Ratatouille sets: Cheers and Little Chef and had fun recreating (almost) the movie poster. And because Paris is the City of Light I added @pearblossompress EZ-lights in the background. Products: Cheers and Little Chef (The Sassy Club) Paris afternoon and Charming city (Sunny Studios) EZ-light and World's best foam tape (Pear Blossom Press) Snowy window die (Marianne Designs) Brick stencil (Lawn Fawn) KSTD 123 mask (floor) (Stamperia) You baked me happy (Honeybee stamps) Distress oxides: Frayed burlap, Hickory smoke, Black soot, Tea-dye, Pumice stone, Tattered rose, Salty ocean and Chipped sapphire #thesassyclub #thesassyclubstamps

Button, Truffle and Teacup

I am so happy to be contributing to the launch of Freakin' Cute Stamps, a new digi brand created by Lounon @craft.me.craft.moi. Though I'm really out of my comfort zone with digis, I didn't hesitate too long. Lounon is such a talented illustrator and I can't wait to see more of her drawings out there. So please, support her as much as you can! For my first project, I couldn't resist these cute piggies, Button, Truffle and Teacup having fun in mud puddles Meet Button, Truffle and Teacup Truffle is always concocting some shenanigans, and she never fails to rope in her unsuspecting cousins. Button is inevitably the first to take the bait, while Teacup, though initially skeptical, can't resist joining Truffle's escapades. Despite it all, they always manage to have an absolute blast in the end (sometimes literally !)   Products: Button, Truffle and Teacup  and Sophie (Freakin Cute Stamps) Barn scene builder and Wood frame builder (Honeybee stamps) Pigs in blanket
