Extra fries

It's mayhem on the beach today! Bandits and pirates have claimed the beach and stolen all the French fries! Arrrgh!

This card looks much cuter and nicer than intended. I wanted chaos, upside down seagulls and fries in the air, but I guess it's like asking a CAS person to do mix media. I like how it turned out, though. Not hilarious but definitely smile inducing. I hope it makes you smile.

Products:

Ranger Distress Oxides: Scattered straw, Mustard seed, Carved pumpkin, Lost shadow, Pumice stone, Weathered wood, Vintage photo and Ground espresso

To create this card, I started by die cutting all sets from colored cardstock, from different brands including Lawn Fawn for the shark, the beach and all details, Spellbinders for the seagulls, and Studiolight for the waves.

I also did a bit of shading with Distress oxides, using Vintage photo and Ground espresso on the trunk and beach, Scattered straw on the French fries, Carved pumpkin for the beaks, Lost shadow and Pumice stone for the seagulls, plus Hickory smoke on the wings, and finally Mustard seed on the duck floatie.

I then assembled all the critters with liquid adhesive.

For the background, I die cut the sand using a border die from my stash and then stamped the sand details from the Inquisitive seagulls stamp set with Vintage photo and Ground espresso. I die cut two waves from a Studiolight double sided paper, die cutting one of each, with 2 of the 4 borders that come with the Pretty Pink Posh Shoreline borders.

I cut the background panel from white cardstock. It is 5.5 by 6.5 inches. And I blended a cloudy sky with Distress inks Speckled egg and Salty ocean, using the Slimline Cloud coverage stencil from Picket Fence Studios.

I adhered the background panel onto the cardbase with liquid adhesive. I then glued the shark in the top right corner of the panel. I glued the waves and sand together and then adhered them with thin foam tape over the shark and along the bottom edge. I then stamped the sentiment with black ink in the top left corner and adhered the seagulls and trunks with a mix of thin and thick foam tape.
