Make up is totally my jam and I think it is a great card theme for any card to a young girl. So when I saw @thegreetingfarm Anya Glow up set, I couldn't resist picking that set for my next @thestampstop project.
The set, along the two others from that release, Anya paints and Hunny bunny, and many more from the past few releases, are available on @thestampstop web shop.
Head over to my blog for all the details on the making of this card.
Products:
Glow up Anya (The Greeting Farm)
Gorgeous you makeup, Gorgeous you makeup bag and Tufted 3D embossing folder (Spellbinders)
Daisy chain cover plate (Pinkfresh Studio)
Sassy speech bubble die (Waffle Flower)
Flawless (The Ton stamps)
Graines de rêve (Chou & Flowers)
Distress oxides: Salvaged patina, Tea dye and Vintage photo
To create this project, I started by stamping Anya on OLO cardstock and fussy cut the image with scissors. I then colored it with Copic markers. For the eyes, I also added some shimmer and glitter with a metallic and glitter gel pens.
I then die cut all the elements from the Spellbinders Gorgeous you makeup and Gorgeous you makeup bag from white and colored cardstocks. I used Lawn Fawn raspberry and Pencil eraser for the gloss and lipstick, Simon Says Stamp Black glossy cardstock for the lipstick and mascara cases, as well as nail polish and gloss sticks. For the mascara brush and nail polish brush, I used Ranger matte black cardstock. For the transparent containers (gloss, nail polish and pipette bottle), I used white cardstock which I colored with Distress oxide Salvaged patina. For any metallic part, I used Altenew Brushed silver cardstock. I assembled the pieces with liquid adhesive and/or double-sided adhesive.
On the pipette bottle label, I stamped the sentiment Make a wish from the Graines de rêve stamp set by Chou & Flowers.
I die cut the makeup purse from Spellbinders twice, once from Chiffon cardstock and another time from white cardstock. I then ran the Chiffon die cut again through my die cutting machine with the Pinkfresh Daisy chain cover plate. I. I then glued the pierced bag on top of the white one, with liquid adhesive. I also die cut the clasp and bag border from Altenew Brushed silver cardstock and adhered them with liquid adhesive.
I trimmed the bottom of the bag at an angle, to allow the bag to fit nicely on the card panel and leave enough room at the top from the makeup products sticking out of the bag. I then adhered some of the products at the back of the bag, letting them peek out of the opening.
For the background I embossed a 5.3 by 5.3 inches Blush cardstock from Spellbinders. Beforehand, I sprayed water at the back of the panel for a smooth embossing. I then adhered the panel onto the cardbase with thin foam tape.
I adhered the bag with its makeup products with thin foam tape, on the background panel. I then adhered the other products with a mix of thin and thick foam tape, doubled in some places. I adhered Anya with thin foam tape too.
To finish, I stamped the two sentiments from the Flawless set on white cardstock. I used a long rectangle die to die cut one and the Waffle Flower Sassy Speech bubble die to die cut the other. I added thick foam tape, directly onto the card background panel and adhered the sentiments.
