Lisa Horton's inks

A few days ago, a fun collab hop took place with Alex Syberia Designs and Lisa Horton and I had the privilege to try a few of Lisa Horton's inks.

For these cards, I used a few Alex Syberia Designs press plates and stencil sets, together with Lisa Horton's inks. I used Swift dry hybrid inks with both press plates and clear stamps, and for stenciling, I used a couple matt blending inks and a few Interference shimmer inks. I was completely new to the Interference inks and it was really satisfying to discover the shimmer, but also the depth of the layers you can manage thanks to the intense pigments.

Lisa Horton inks: Swift dry hybrid inks Flint and Liquorice, Matt blending ink Painted eggshell, Interference shimmery inks Charcoal gold, Fruit salad and Cherry bomb

For the first project, I stenciled several Lisa Horton inks through the Alex Syberia Garden of blooms stencil set, on white cardstock. With stencil No. 1, I blended Lisa Horton Interference Fruit salad shimmer. With stencil No. 2, I used the same ink again. I then used the Interference Cherry bomb shimmer through the stencil No. 3. Then with stencil No. 4, I used Charcoal gold shimmer. With stencil No.5, I switched to a Matt blending ink and used Painted eggshell and to finish, I blended the Swift dry hybrid ink Liquorice through stencil No. 6.

I then used the coordinating dies.

For the sentiment, I used the Classic sentiments press plate with the Swift dry Liquorice ink on A2 Cotton Card Panels Porcelain White 320gsm and die cut them.

For the background, I stamped the floral from the Grateful for you stamp set 4 times on my cardbase, aiming for the corners. I used the Swift dry Flint ink to get a not too dark result.

To finish the card, I adhered the floral with thin foam tape and then the sentiment on top with thin foam tape as well.

For the second project, I press stamped the Kokeshi dolls by Alex Syberia Designs on white cardstock, using the Swift dry hybrid ink Liquorice. I colored the image with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut it out.

For the colorful florals behind the Kokeshi, I inked two panels of cardstock, one with Interference Pink champagne shimmer and the other with Metallic Verdigris.

I also created a full panel with the Charming floral background press plate which I inked with Swift dry Flint ink. I then used the coordinating stencils and blended:
- Stencil No. 1 Interference Fruit salad shimmer
- Stencil No. 2 Interference Cherry bomb shimmer
- Stencil No. 3 Matt Garden sage ink
- Stencil No. 4 Metallic Verdigris ink

I die cut the flowers from this panel and the Pink champagne and Verdigris panels, using the Andalusia wildflowers die set.

I adhered the flowers and sentiment with liquid adhesive and the Kokeshi with foam tape.

I also die cut the sentiment from the Pink champagne panel, using the Love & hugs die set. To finish, I press stamped the Cherry blossoms on the background with Swift dry hybrid Flint.

For the third project, I press stamped the Charming floral background with Swift dry Flint ink. I then used the coordinating stencils and blended:
- Stencil No. 1 Interference Fruit salad shimmer
- Stencil No. 2 Interference Cherry bomb shimmer
- Stencil No. 3 Matt Painted eggshell ink
- Stencil No. 4 Matt Garden sage ink

I also press stamped the Summer Flower with Swift dry Liquorice ink and fussy cut the flower along the petal edges.

I also inked a panel of white cardstock with Interference Cherry bomb shimmer and used the Bloom die to due cut the sentiment.

To assemble the card, I glued the Summer flower on the background and trimmed the excess. Finally, I glued the sentiment on the flower and panel onto the cardbase.
