Challenge 181: Interactive

For my second take on the challenge, I wanted to reuse an idea from last year with a different version of a maxi Kinder egg. The inside surprise is a shaker.
In my mind, there is no good egg hunting without a Kinder egg... I'm sure a lot of you can relate. For this project, I used the Egg hunt and Sweet treat carts stamp sets, the Grass edge and Dripping goo dies, and the Puffy cloud stencil from Your Next Stamp

To create this card, I also used the Lawn Fawn Egg stackable dies and frames. I used the larger die to create an opening in my front panel. I also used the same die to cut two pieces from white cardstock and  one piece from orange cardstock. I took one of the white die cut and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Dripping goo border, to create the dripping milk. I used copic markers to add a little blue shading at the bottom right corner of each drop. I stamped the words Egg hunting with black and orange ink on that piece and reserved it.

I used the Marianne design Letter board alphabet and Tim Holtz metallic cardstock to die cut the SURPRISE letters and glued them on the milk panel. For the blue label, I used blue cardstock to stamp and heat emboss the sentiment. I then rounded the top left and bottom right corners with a corner trimmer punch and glued the label on the milk panel. Finally, I scored the top of the panel to create a flap.

I then blended some Distress oxide Candied apple on the orange egg die cut. I also cut the top part, exactly at the same position of the score line on the milk layer. This is to allow the flap to open more easily and reduce thickness.

I glued the milky layer on top of the orange layer and reserved. Back to my front panel, I used the Puffy cloud stencil to blend some Distress oxide Speckled egg for the sky. I then die cut 2 pieces of green cardstock with the Grass border die and blended some Rustic wilderness and Twisted citron from the top. I then die cut one of the grass borders with the Egg die to adapt to the egg opening on the front panel. I then glued the grass borders on the front panel.

Then I die cut the larger egg frame from chocolate cardstock and blended some Ground espresso on the edges. I taped a piece of acetate at the back of my front panel and taped the egg frame on top of it, from the front. I then taped the front flap, making sure to apply double-sided tape above the score line only.

I stamped the two rabbits, colored them with Copic markers and die cut them. I taped them at the back of the acetate and then added another layer of acetate, so the rabbits don't get caught by the shaker bits. You could also choose to have only one layer of acetate and have the rabbit on top of the acetate, but I really wanted them to look trapped inside the egg.

I covered the back of the panel with 3D foam and placed a mix of sequins and clay embellishments in the center. I took the last egg die cut and blended some Antique linen to create the milky inside of the Kinder egg. I closed the shaker with that last egg die cut.

Finally, I glued the front panel on my card base
