2 cards out of 1

Hello Crafty friends,

Today, I have a project that will allow you to make two cards at the same time.
This is a nice way to save time AND get a different look and feel with the same die.

For this project, I used the new Lenten rose Mini slimline die.

I applied Distress Ink Salvaged patina, Mustard seed and Saltwater taffy on my craft mat. I then sprayed water and dipped my cardstock into the ink multiple times, drying it with a heat tool between each dip, until I got the effect I wanted.

I then let it dry completely.

Once it was dry, I adhered a double-sided adhesive sheet at the back of my background. This is totally optional, but such a time saver for the next steps!

I then die cut my background with the Lenten rose Mini slimline die.
I also die cut the Lenten rose background from white cardstock to create the second card version.

Time to assemble the cards! I prepared two card bases. On one cardbase, I adhered the watercolored frame and on the other one, the white frame.

I then placed the colored petals inside the white frame. This is where the double-sided adhesive sheet comes in handy, because you can quickly and easily place each piece from the adhesive release paper to your card without having to use glue and make a puzzle!

I then stamped the sentiments from the Spring blooms stamp set. I wanted the sentiments to follow the curves of the petals. In order to do this, I used a stamp press and a piece of acetate to position the stamps and bend them to the desired curve, before closing the door of the stamp press, to pick up the stamp.

To finish the cards, I adhered a few embellishments here and there with the new Sparkle Fairy Garden.

Hope you like the idea of making two cards out of the same die cut. Maybe you have a preference for one of the two versions. Hope you will give it a try.

Thank you for stopping by. Happy crafting!
