Valentine's Day is getting closer, so in the coming weeks, I'll share some love inspiration on the @alexsyberiadesigns blog. Today, I have this cute sleepy head missing her loved one. Sweet dreams, little panda.

To create this card, I started by stamping the cute pandas from the Cheerful panda moments stamp set on white cardstock with Memento Black Tuxedo ink.
I then stamped the couch from the Smile more stamp set on masking paper and fussy cut around the penguins, leaving a small edge around them, but keeping as much as the couch lines, to allow me for stamping the couch without the penguins. I adhered the mask on a piece of white cardstock, positionned the stamp over it and stamped the image with Contour ink from Hero Arts. This is a very light ink that will allow me for doing some no line coloring. This way, if the mask isn't precise enough, it won't be possible to guess there were penguins before. After stamping, I removed the mask.
I also stamped the cute little flower from the Giraffe-ic friends stamp set.
I colored all the images with Copic markers and added highlights in the eyes and on the cheeks of the pandas with a white gel pen. I also drew eyelids on the sleeping panda. I then pulled the Cheerful panda moments, Giraffe-ic friends and Smile more coordinating dies to cut the images. For the couch, I trimmed the blank space left by the missing penguin heads with a pair of scissors.
I adhered the sleeping panda on the couch with liquid adhesive and the flower in the hand of one of the two other pandas.
I then die cut the front panel from white cardstock, using the larger rectangle of the Good day quilted rectangles die set. I also die cut a scallopped border, using the longer side of the larger scalloped rectangle from the Nested scalloped frames die set.
Using the scalloped border as a stencil, I blended Distress oxides Spun sugar and Kitsch flamingo with a light hand on the upper part, leaving enough space to fit the two standing pandas.
At the bottom, using a straight stencil, I blended Distress oxide Tea-dye at the bottom to create the floor.
I then positioned the pandas on the front panel and placed the 3 hearts from the Sweet friend stamp set above the sleeping panda, to create the start of the thought bubbble. I also positioned the Missing you sentiment and stamped both with Memento Black Tuxedo ink. I then positioned the 2 pandas in the thought bubble and placed 3 tiny heart stamps from the Spring bunnies stamp set, and stamped them with Memento Lady bug ink.
To finish the card, I adhered the front panel onto the cardbase with liquid adhesive and the pandas with foam tape.
