This month, I am proudly guest designing for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters. As a coffee addict, I have accumulated a number of products related to that theme, so it is with great joy that I digged into my treasures.
For this first project, of course, I had to make a huge mash-up card, pulling some of my preferred brands, including from the so regretted Your Next Stamp. I actually revisited one of my first project for Your Next Stamp, using the Coffee... Right meow! set.
Coffee... Right meow! (Your Next Stamp)
Coffee shop House builder add-on, Treat shop add-on and Perfect bricks stencil (Honeybee stamps)
New Home (WPlus9 Design)
Petite patisserie (Gina K designs)
Monthy Hero Kit 0119C (Hero Arts)
Coffee shop (My Favorite Things)
Desire Place Tango KSTD 123 mask (Stamperia)
In the spotlight stencil (Sugar Pea Designs)
Ranger Distress oxides: Squeezed lemonade, Mustard seed, Antique linen, Fired brick, Vintage photo, Hickory smoke and Black soot
This card is a one layer card and I used the masking technique to build the scene. I used Whimsy Stamps No-fuss masking sheets and Post-it Labeling and cover-up tape. The card is 5.5 by 5.5".
I started by stamping the coffee board on the ground and the We are open sign on the window, from the Honeybee stamps Treat shop add-on stamp set. I also stamped the Coffee sign, from the Gina K Petite patisserie stamp set. I stamped all these images on masking paper as well and fussy cut the masks. I also stamped the coffee card on the board, from the My Favorite Things Coffee shop stamp set and finally adhered all masks on my panel.
Next, I stamped the Coffee shop from the Hero Arts Monthly Kit 0119C which was a beautiful Flower shop kit. I also stamped a mask, but before adhering it, I created a small scene in the coffee shop, using elements of the Honeybee stamps Coffee shop House builder add-on stamp set. Finally, I stamped the Coffee shop mark on the window, from the same set and adhered the coffee shop mask on the panel.
I then stamped the cute kitty from the Your Next Stamp Coffee... Right meow! stamp set and masked it. And I also stamped a bench and light to complete the street scene, from the WPlus9 Design New home stamp set. Again, I masked both.
I then stenciled the background. I adhered masking tape at the bottom to hide the ground and then blended Ranger Distress oxide Antique Linen on the upper part. I then placed the Honeybee stamps Perfect brick stencil over it and blended Distress oxide Fired brick and Vintage photo to age the bricks a little.
I then unmasked the ground and masked the upper part. I blended Distress oxide Hickory smoke and Black soot and then created a pavement with the Stamperia KSTD 123 mask using again the same two oxides.
I then removed all masks and colored images with Copic markers. I also added some details on the bricks and pavements with pencils and Copic liners. I also created a ray of light below the lamp with Distress oxides Squeezed lemonade and Mustard seed blended through the Sugar Pea Designs In the spotlight stencil.
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Your Next Stamp Coffee... Right meow! set with Versamark and heat set it with white powder. That sentiment is just hilarious, but so true for coffee addicts! As the final touch, I striked through the word OPEN with a red liner, because of course all the drama here comes from this 24/7 open coffee shop, actually NOT open... Arrrrgh!
Thank you for reading through this post and see you next week for another perked-up Coffee Loving Papercrafters project!
