Live life in full bloom

I just can't get enough of the cute Kokeshi dolls from the @alexsyberiadesigns 'Spring In Kyoto' release with @teamspellbinders.

Alex Syberia Designs and Spellbinders products:
Kokeshi dolls press plate and dies
Cherry blossoms press plates and die
Parasols press plate
+ Grateful for you stamp set, Grateful for you die set (sentiment)

Ranger Distress oxides: Speckled egg, Salvaged patina, Peacock feathers, Tumbled glass, Salty ocean
Ranger Distress ink: Vintage photo and Walnut stain

To create this card, I started with a 4" by 5.5" panel from Strathmore bristol cardstock which I foiled with the Parasols press plate and Spellbinders Opal foil.

I then blended Ranger Distress oxide Speckled egg over the entire panel and wiped off the excess on the foil. I then watercolored the panel adding Tumbled glass and Salvaged patina in random spots. I then reinforced the colors with Salty ocean and Peacock feathers. I put the panel aside to let it dry.

Next, I stamped the Kokeshi doll and Blossoms using Copic-friendly cardstock and ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut the images.

I also stamped the sentiment from the Grateful for you set on white cardstock and used the coordinating die.

I then aged the edges of the background panel with Ranger Distress inks Vintage photo and Walnut stain.

I adhered the blossoms and sentiment on the panel with liquid adhesive and trimmed anything sticking out of the panel. I then adhered the panel onto the cardbase with liquid adhesive. Finally, I adhered the doll with foam tape.
