You're the cream in my coffee. The sweet @streamside_studios mice are on heavy duty today. Sharing a one layer card today... Wanted to play a little with a monochromatic coloring and I thought this was the perfect card theme for a non-sense design. This card was a real challenge. I started a first version with an AAL & Create Cheshire cat, but the drawing style was not a good match with the Wonder Anya set from @thegreetingfarm so I restarted it with a slightly different setting and other sets of the same brand. Completely failed the background when stamping that text from Alice in Wonderland, but at that stage it was either a keeper or trash and no restart... Hope you agree with my keeping this imperfect card. The best card themes are obviously food for me! Lately, I've grown an interest in using stand-alone dies and try to give them some dimension with Copic coloring. I can't say this is an easy exercise for me, but I feel I need to take that direction to increase my cardmaking skills and evolve my card style a little bit. So happy I found some time to use the @mftstamps Squeeze the day set before Summer is completely gone! I love that the set is so big and has so many different stamps, including elements that set the scene. So, for this card, I didn't have to pull that many sets and I was even able to not mix brands!
